Salary Survey

The SAAAPM salary survey began in the early 1970s under the leadership of Dr. Jerome H. Modell, and the survey continues today on an annual basis. The initiating purpose of the survey was to gain meaningful data used in salary negotiations with each department's respective deans, as the AAMC information was not considered complete for the specialty. Each year, every academic anesthesiology department that is a member of SAAAPM is provided the opportunity to anonymously report its salary data. Reports are compiled, detailing the information by region and nation-wide; and then the reports are distributed to participating chairs.
