Shanna Sykes Hill, MD

Shanna Sykes Hill, MD is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Anesthesiology at the Weill Cornell Medical College In New York. She graduated from The Cornell University Medical College and went on to complete her anesthesiology residency and cardiac fellowship at Cornell, where she has now been on faculty for 15 years. Her clinical interests include transfusion and blood conservation and echocardiography. She co-chairs her institutional Patient Blood Management Committee and is a member of the SCA Blood Conservation Committee. Since 2011, she has been the Program Director for the Adult Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology Fellowship program, and also serves as the Anesthesiology Fellowship Education Director. She has a focus on education of residents, fellows, and attendings, believing that faculty development is an important part of successful programs. Recently she has had the opportunity to serve the SAAAPM as councilor where she has been participating in planning the 2019 meeting, and hopes to continue to in this worthwhile educational and collaborative endeavor.
