AASPD Candidate – Loveland Baptist

Dr. Lindsey Loveland is a Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiologist at the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin where she also serves as the Program Director for the Pediatric Anesthesiology Fellowship. Before assuming the role of PD, she served as the Associate Program Director for four years. Dr. Loveland relishes the opportunity to function as a highly engaged personal and professional mentor for each fellow that comes through the fellowship program. She also enjoys mentoring residents who self-identify interest in pediatric anesthesia during residency including helping them identify and select fellowship programs.

Nationally, Dr. Loveland serves as an ABA Applied Examiner and has enjoyed spearheading significant improvements in the Applied Exam Preparation Curriculum within the department for the fellows. She has also made significant changes within the fellowship by the creation of a new, innovative didactic series, Breakfast Club to encourage connection among fellows and with the PD and development of unique opportunities for education of individual practice habits, quality improvement and safety. She has contributed to the PAPDA by assisting with the creation of the common goals and objectives for the Cardiac rotation as well as assisting with the ongoing case log update. Prior to moving to Milwaukee for pediatric anesthesia fellowship Dr. Loveland completed residency and University of Chicago and medical school at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health. In her time away from the hospital she enjoys spending time with her husband and five children, dressage horseback riding, and baking.
