Robert Gaiser, M.D. is an obstetric anesthesiologist who completed his undergraduate education at the University of Pennsylvania, his medical education at Columbia University College of Physicians, his residency at Massachusetts General Hospital, and his fellowship at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Following fellowship, he remained on staff at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania for the next 24 years, achieving the rank of Professor of Anesthesiology. He was appointed program director in 2001 and remained in that position until he left in 2016 to become Chair at the University of Kentucky. He has served on the Anesthesiology Review Committee for the ACGME and also has been part of the Phase I and Phase II Committees for revision of the Common Program Requirements. He is a Director for the American Board of Anesthesiology.
